Default Resonator Removal

How do you remove the resonator on a 6Gen 4cyl? I know that there's that J-shaped thing on the pipe to just to the left of the engine, but is there one in the airbox? I tried to look for it, but I couldn't find it. Is there one? Thanks for your input.

i'm not sure aboiut 6th gen, but i heard its in the same area. DIRECTLY beneath your airbox, trust me...ITS THERE!! You gotta look harder And its about the same size as your airbox, but its a cube shape(for 5th gen).

Same on the Gen6--
directly under the airbox in the fenderwell below the tailight.

Easy to remove with front bumper off--it's held in with 2 bots that's all. Just pull the bolts and remove the airbox and re-install the front bumper.

yup! that's it ... i was installing my HID's and grill today and took of my front bumper. i can't believe that i never noticed this HUGE black box sitting there. just two bolts and it came right off. it frees up ALOT of air for your intake.

Removing the bumpers easy as hell now for me. Take out bumper lights, unbolt bumper support bolts (4 of them) and then unscrew the bumper cover from the fenderwell by the wheels. Thats it I'm pretty sure (there might be those 2 clips underneath, but its not much more than that.)

you dont HAVE to remove the bumper on a 5th gen, i did it without removing it, i just used an extension and a swivel to get that hard to reach bolt. but for 6th gen do you HAVE TO remove it?
