I'd recommend the Bridgestone Potenza or the Yokohama AVS which is pretty cheap. There are so many factors that all depend on what you want most. You could get 15 different answers and none of them would be wrong based on what you want.

If you're willing to spend more and you have really shitty weather around your town, I really reccomend the Dunlop Sport 5000 Asyms in 205/50/15. Pricey, at about $95 per tire @ tirerack.com, but they grip better in the rain than anything else I've experienced, and their dry-weather is damn good (but not as good as a summer only tire)

and a treadwear of 340 isn't bad either

if you have the factory gsr wheels, the tire size that would replace stock would be 195-55-15.

kumho Ecstas or Falken Azenis (you'd have to go with a 205/50R-15), both of which have excellent traction. The Azenis are a favorite for AutoX and the Ecstas for club racing amoung the cheap-ass bastards I race with.

205/50/15 is a popular "upgrade" size as well.
