This may sound like a dumb question, but does the crank bolt on a 1994 Acura Integra RS turn clockwise or counter clockwise to loosen. A local machanic told me the bolt is probably reverse threaded. But nothing I have found online tells me for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Originally posted by mhoops Thanks. I have tried an air gun, but the thing will not budge. It could be because I only habe a small air tank.
i took one off of a BMW 5.0L V8 once, and it took 5 minutes of constant pressure with a 1/2 inch impact to even get it to budge. and this was after letting it soak in PB blaster for an hour.
just battled this monster and even with the tool i dont think i could do any good, tried a pipe wrench around the pully and it held but i couldn't put enough booty behind it to break it loose, i eventually had a 3/4" air wrench with 170 psi which still had a hell of a time to break it free, good luck. i finaly got short sudden bursts of psi on the air gun that finally brought it out just before i burned the car to the ground from frustration!!!
