Default Anyone ever used this size tire on a Teg?

I am looking at a good deal on a set of Pirelli 205/55R16's. I would like to use them on my '90 Teg.
Do you think they will fit okay?
I currently have 215/40R16's and they are way too small.
please help!!
Chris

I'm using 205/45/16's and they are about the same diameter as stock. I would think that 55's would be way too tall. Stock size is 195/60/14's, so increasing the diameter 2 inches while barely decreasing sidewall height probably won't work so well.

with that tire (205/55/16), you're looking at a diameter that's 1.7 inches more than it should be. that is way too much. you'll feel/see the difference in everything, and not in a good way. acceleration, milage, speedo..

like jgordon said, 205/45/16 is a much better fit for you. if you still think that is too small, maybe you should look into 15" wheels.

Yup, 205/45-16 is the size you want.

For ultimate grip in that size I would go with the Pirelli PZero Nero which run $109 a piece from tirerack.com. If you want to spend a bit less money then I would go for the Yokohama AVS ES100 which are $78 a piece.
