Default Springs Vs. Coilovers

I'm getting sick of the slop in my coilover springs/sleeves. too much squeaking and clunking due to the short springs and aluminum hats. I'm lowered about 2.25 in the front and 2 inches in the back.

After I get my ITR sway bar, or probably at the same time, i'm really looking into getting a set of H&R race springs to go along with my AGX's.

Questions:
1. Will the AGX's hang with the H&R's?
2. Are the springs long enough to keep the spring seated in the perch (no slop, like when jacking up the car)?
3. Where's a good place to order the springs?
4. I love the ride quality on my current setup, how's the ride quality with the H&R's and AGX's?
5. What other springs can you guys suggest, or should I just get a set of Ground Controls?

THANKS!

I have heard similar problems with people that I know that have coilovers (sleeved). They all had the GC's but still complained of the noise and that the spring would have play at full extension. The AGX's would be fine with the H&R sports ands will be a great ride with that combo. There will be no play with the spring/shock setup like there is with the coilovers. I'm not sure where a good place to order them from so someone else can probably help with that. I would just start searching the Internet to see what you find.

i have neuspeed sport springs and i like the ride compared to the GC, or any coilovers. coilovers lose alot of comfort and performance i think so that u can adjust them anytime/anywhere.

If you really do not need the adjustability, then I would suggest a decent set of progressive wound lowering springs. The ride is just so much better compared to [sleeve] coilovers. But I am curious as to what coilovers you have. I've had my Skunkworks for over 2 years now and I've yet to hear them squeak. I have heard them clunk every now and then (back when my car was really low) but they don't do that now since I've raised the car back up.

oh yeah, the brand of my coilovers...hehe, i got them for rather cheap, i had them installed on my car within the first week of ownership. i'm not to proud of their brand, which i'll keep nameless, but the ride quality and adjustability are great, despite their not so great name...no they're not apc/ractive/weapon R/skunk/GC, but i wll say they have GC spec spring rates.

i guess thats why i wanna get the h&r's too, so i can be truly proud of my suspension setup.

is there really a ride quality difference between the two? I have never heard that they ride worse than just springs :dunno:
