Burning Oil Smelly Problem???
Ever since the day I got my car (last Sept 2002), whenever I run the engine a little harder It starts to smell like oil in the car when I come to a stop. What I mean by driving harder is shifting at about 4000-4500 rpm, or a speed in excess of 120 km/h. If anyone knows what the hell is wrong with my engine please tell me. If you have a solution I'd like to know it. I perform regular mentenaince on the vehicle myself. And all the repairs as-well. Regular Oil changes are made every 5000kms with Mobil1 5w30 full synthetic oil and a High grade FRAM oil filter. It doesn't appear to be leaking any oil from the block or the head. I wash it regularly as-well. It has 163k kms on it right now. It's a '95 Honda EJ2 Civic (DX).

I would do a compression check and see if it's low on one or more cylinders. If it is, add some oil to the low cyl(s) and recheck. If compression goes up, you have bad rings, if it stays the same or goes down, it's the valve seals. If you compression checks out, I would do a leakdown test.
do you notice any smoke from pipe? maybe as stated before, poss rings or seats, if not do you notice it more when the heat is on? does your coolent look muddy? if so possible head gasket dumping oil in coolent, head or valve cover isn't leaking and dripping on header, then being burned is it?
