Default Anyone know alot about DC headers?

I've got a friend willing to give me a DC header for next to nothing. It came off of a GSR. I was told that a header that fits one B-series engine will fit just about any other B-series engine, but when I was checking out a DC Sports website I saw that there were different part numbers for the GSR and Type R. Anyone have any ideas on what the differences would be?

It might be a DC JDM 4-1 header which will fit on either a gsr or itr.

It might be JDM, but I don't know. Is there any way to tell? All I know is its 4-1, its ceramic, and its got an outer diameter of 2.25" and an inner diameter of 2".

Well it's not a JDM DC Header since the collector isnt 2.5''. What b-series motor are you trying to put it on?

Here's what I was planning on doing. My friend sold this to me for $150 bucks. It's in excellent condition. If it'll give me some extra horses on a B18C5 then I'll put it onto my Type R. If not, I have an 88 Civic Hatch that will be getting a B18A soon and it'll go onto that.

some might get a few extra horses but not nearly as much as what other headers can give (mugen, spoon, comptech, toda, JDMITR, Hytech etc.) Im also not sure but i dont think that vtec b series header bolt patterns are not the same as b series non vtec, but like i said im not sure on that.

I was told that all B-series motors have the same bolt pattern, although I do not know this for a fact. I'd like to ask your opinion. Since I have to buy an exhaust and high flow cat anyway, should I look for another header while I'm at it?

Go with a Spoon or a Toda header for your itr. If you don't want to spend that much money just stick with the basic JDM 4-1 itr header and put a heat shield over it to keep that stock look. I would recommend the DC JDM header, but the ground clearance sucks.
