Well, I just changed my spark plugs, and i was talking to one of my friends the other day and he said I should've put on some anti-sieze, what do yall think? Do you usually use anti-sieze on u're tegs? Does it matter? Does it make any difference that I've run the car for about a week without it, can I just pull the plugs back out and put some on? what do u think?
i wouldnt use it my self and i have never seen it used on plugs and there has never been a prob. the only reason you use anti seize is if you got something that could possibly rust or seize up after a while of being in there. spark plugs dont seize so dont worry.
integra_blurred,
I use anti-seize in a whole bunch of locations. Most of the time it is where there is the potential for high heat (as in spark plugs and O2 sensors, manifold bolts), high corrosion potential (bumper bolts, or any other external fasteners) or where there is dissimilar metal (such as alloy rims on cast iron disks or drums).
It's not a big deal if you don't put it on the spark plugs as you shouldn't torque down on them too much. But if you want, you can certainly pull them and put a dab on the threads.
There are also a number of types out there, either the silver molybdenum based stuff or the orange copper based stuff. Both are pretty nasty to deal with, but bothwork just fine.

Thanks, Bogatyr. Yea, the reason why i would use it is because it it exposed to such high heat. I've been told that in some circumstances if you don't use anti-sieze the threads might come out with the plug if i take the plug out. But I was just wondering.
It wasn't on a teggy but in one of the "other forums" a guy broke out part of his spark plug trying to get it out. Granted they were in there for a while but the anti seize would have most likely prevented that long pita job. I would definitely use it if i were you.

I use it on my spark plugs, since i bought the tube of anti seize for my exhaust bolts, so i might as well use it.
The helms manual says to use it, so if that isnt a good reason to use it, then i dont know what is.
