Default autozone is full of a$$e$

last week i went in to autozone to get a new cap and rotor for my b16a distributor!! the guy said that he didnt know what would go on a jdm engine!! so he calls another store to ask another guy and he says that the cap and rotor off of a 95 del sol would work!! ok so i take those home and proceed to test fit them, to my surprise they didnt fit!! so i go back and tell him that it didnt fit, i also told him to give me parts for a 99 civic si, he answers by telling me that their computer tells him that they are the same parts (meaning the del sol and the civic si) so i ask him for stock 90 integra ls parts, and he gives them to me i come home and they dont fit!! the cap is different and the metal tab on the rotor is bigger than the one i have on my car!!

:wtf: what should i ask for on my next trip to autozone!!

BTW i have a 90 integra ls with a b16a!!

TIA F S

try test fitting it b/f u go home. I figured jdm and usdm would use the same type cap/rotor.

so if u had a jdm b16a, then a usdm b16a should work.

Plus, it doesn't help that you have a engine that is JDM, which doesn't exist in their computer system.

It should acutally be your fault. Should have just took off your old ones and bring them there and compare it before buying it.

Damn those autozone peeps for not knowing about an engine which was never produced in the US.

You have a cable b16. Never existed in the US. The distributor from a 2nd gen GSR might fit. If not, you're gonna be spending a whole lotta money.

ok let me rephrase that!! the guy that was helping me at autozone is an ass!! he didnt know a wrench from a ratchet!! any ways he got yelled at right in front of me for leaving someones reciept in the counter!! the manager said he had to cross it out with red pen not just leave it there!!

ok but you guys are right its my fault for having a motor that is not in there computers!! but i mean they could offer me other parts!! i know that the one from a civic si works!! its just that he didnt give me the right one!! the 99 civic si b16a1 is the same engine as the 89-90 sir b16a!! they do have parts for me its just that they dont know witch ones!! the guy didnt know what a bseries motor was!! at g2ic.com i was told that a b18 cap and rotor would work!! i asked for one of those and the guy said NO, that the one he gave me had to work!! next time im gonna take the cap and rotor off and take it to them!! see if that helps!!
