Default ???What egt temp on turbo D16, in F*

I just got a 93 Civic with a D16 and the Small greddy turbo w/side mount ic. I put a egt gauge in it and i am just wondering what the temp should be around for safe racing, or what temp i should back out of it at if it starts to go over. Thanks

P.S. It has b16 injectors, and the fields VAFC keeps flashing OF for out of fuel when i get in the higher RPM's. The settings on the VAFC are...add 4% above 1k rpm, 5% above 2k rpm, 6% ^ 3k, 7% ^ 4k, 8%^5k, 9% ^6k and i usually shift at 7 or just before. Do you think i might have plenty of fuel to turn that down or should i envest in some RC injectors.

Thanks a lot again.

Idle EGT for me is around 3-400 C, or 572-752 F. Cruising for me is around 500 C, or 932 F. EGT peaks between 700-800 C during boost, which is 1292-1472 F. All you're using for engine management is an SFC-VTEC? Are you at least running an FMU?

If you're boosting on stock injectors, with only an SFC-VTEC, you are going to lean out, period. If you want to run stock injectors, you a 12:1 FMU and an inline fuel pump, minimum. You can then use the SFC to tune your fuel map somewhat. If you plan on running more than 8lbs of boost or so, skip the FMU and get some larger injectors.
