Anybody set up the time correction on them? Have had my alpine h/u and amp for a while now and have yet to set the time correction. anybody do this in a integra? if so, what are they numbers that need to be inputted?

that is a hell of a tip. what hu model is it ? out of the 3 i have had, there was always a round clock button you held down for 5 or so seconds then one of the radio presets changed hr. and another for min. usually #5 and #6 presets. i've got a new one now though and it has a clock button of a squarish nature by the #1 preset

 

LOL, umm people, he's not talking about changing the time, he's talking about changing the time correction feature. What you do is put the distance each speaker is from the listening position (driver's seat) and the radio will adjust the sound from each speaker so that it seems you are sitting in the middle of them. I just guess-timated my time correction settings until it sounded like i was in the middle of 4 speakers in a room.

time correction is about .2 miliseconds for every 6 inches from the listening point...usually youll only have to time correct the drivers door/dash/kick speakers. the other spkrs are far enough away to make it up for themselves.

most of the time time correction is done because of phase issues or speakers being on different planes, which can cause less output, or in some cases complete cancellation.

 

I install at Circuit City and almost everything in my car is Alpine. I have my time correction set. You have to measure from your left ear the the middle of your front and rear left speaker. Same with the right. Go to www.alpine1.com enter the numbers your measured for each speaker and it will tell you how and where to set your time correction.
