I broke my radiator hose
whats up guys, apparently it seems that i keep having problems with my teg. I guess when it rains , it pores. Anyway, i was driving home tonight and noticed steam coming from my hood. I look at it when i got home, i saw that i had antifreeze everywhere and i could smell it. The top radiator hose had a busted hose in it. Would this be maybe just because its old and needed to be replaced or could this be something else ? I had radiator problems a few months ago, but that soon ended when i got a c&r radiator. What would make this happen?
thanks

it looks pretty clean on the inside.. Where it split is right after the hose connects to the radiator neck, about an inch from that. Its a split in it about an inch long. Before it broke, whenever the car was running and warmed up that hose was pretty tight if you tried to squeeze it. I wonder if its blocked up somehow and just busted because it couldnt move.
could be a lotta things, especially with the aftermarket radiator. Maybe the hose neck on the radiator is too large for a stock hose? Hose could be old and brittle? Too much fluid pressure? Cheap replacement hose?
It's a bit too late, but if this happens to anyone else make sure to hose down the car right after it happens. After I flushed my system I put the hose on too loose and on the drive back it blew off. Well it got on the hood of the car and it ate right through the clear coat. Screwed the shit out of my paint. Coolant is acidic. Not nice stuff.
