Default Yay or nay: D.I.Y. page?

What do you guys think about a Do it yourself page on this site? I myself would like to see one so I can do some mods myself instead of paying someone else to do it. Things like, clearing tails, guage installation, possibly even stereo installation, you know, some of the simple stuff that can be done at home. Some of us don't know the tricks to doing alot of this stuff and would be more comfortable having a step by step guide when tackling it. Sound off, what do you think?

Oh yea Cryogen no need to remove the two phillips plastic screw underneath the turn signal area. Cause you remove the bumper support too so it all comes off as one piece.
Yeah, big up to Cryogen, his site has some cool stuff on it, but I found another one that has even more stuff than his. So I was thinking, if we all contributed, maybe we might be able to compile a pretty impressive DIY section:naughty:

Yeah, the site will actually be gaining content in a couple weeks to go with the redesign, so it is feasable. Maybe if someone would like the put this FIY Page together we could post it.

I personally think it would be better suited if alot of people contributed to this, should it come to be. Everyone has different tastes so the more input we got, the better it would be for everyone.

But this can't be a DIY message board, all DIYs need to come to one person who will put them all together...know what I mean?

I think it would be great to have a D.I.Y. page

I'm sure it would help me out a lot.

We need a DIY on installing a motor in your side view mirrors to make them fold

While the idea of a centralized DIY page is good, personally I have a couple problems with it. First, updating pages with pics or information tends to happen next to never. Second, I get to watch where my traffic comes from and figure out what people are really going to my site to see. Third, I have to deal with twiddle dee the wonder admin on SuperHonda and can't link directly to anything HAN. And fourth, just because I'm shallow, I like the recognition I get hosting the how-tos I write. Not too mention when people have questions they're almost garanteed an overnight response if they email me.

BTW, engineering a way to retrofit a motor into USDM side mirrors to make them fold would be a headache twice the size of the JDM price.

Yeah, you have a point. Judging from the responses I've gotten so far, it looks as if everyone who has voted is in favor of this. I think what we need to do is find out who is able to modify the site and talk to him/her and see what can be done, what we need to do, and let's get it done. I probably won't be able to add much to the DIY page, since the only stuff I've done to my car myself are lighting and car stereo stuff. I haven't braved the bodywork or other electrical stuff yet. But I checked out Cryogen's site and he's got me wanting to rip my dash out and do the blue a/c light conversion. Looks pretty sweet dude. Was that your idea?
