Default Alternator replacement

Is it difficult to replace an alternator on a 5th gen accord? I want to get mine rewound to put out more amps and I'd like to do it myself, im just not sure what all it entails. Anyone done it before?

i wouldnt suggest trying to rewire it urself, an alternator is very easy to short circuit and if ur cranking too many amps thru it ull over heat ur battery and something will blow or burn out get a bigger battery with more CCA if u want, but its not smart to try to crank out more amps from ur alternator, it has sensors that charge the battery accordingly to what it should have. as for taking it out i dont know about ur particular car but u have 2 screws u have to undo one to release the belt tension the other to release the alternator from the block and then there are just small wires that go to the battery with a strange looking plug and a ground wire, not hard to figure out but sometimes hard to manuever out of the car around the engine depending on ur setup
