Default A few questions 98 GSR ?

What's good? Today I had 2 tires installed along with a allignment. It took them 2.5 hrs stating they had a hard time alligning the front/ rear. I have a skunk 2 lower tie bar. Anyways. They noticed my driver side wheel bearing is bad & my motor mount in the back is bad. The guy showed me & yes the mount is def. bad.
My questions I have are 1-motor mount part $165.17(labor)etc 369.92
Rear engine mount $147.89(labor)175.50.

Is this a good price. It'll be $753.20 for both but, dont have that so I'll do it seperately. Also, should I look for a oem or a hasport individual rear mount if sold.

Thank You

i have a spare rear mount insert from energy suspension lying around that im sure will help ur situation. but 750 is WAY too expensive.

find a shop that does swaps or specializes in honda's. doing a motor mount shouldnt be that expensive.

changing the mounts on this car is a bit easy, might have a hard time with the rear though

I didnt think it should be almost 400 for a motor mount & to install it. I'll def. look into a shop closer to my house who does swaps & see what they charge for installing my rear mount. Now as far as the mount I'm not sure if its the insertor mount. I suppose w/ almost 180K its the mount. The guy had the e brake up and put car in 1gear eased clutch out & di it in reverse & the motor jumps.

Yeah, have any place to work on it yourself? Good chance the other mounts are about done too

Recently did something quite similar, wheel bearing cost me 100 bux from a local parts store, and that was JUST THE BEARING. Ill also have to admit on my 91 teg, the rear engine mount was the WORST of the all to replace!...also keep in mind, i found that the front mount was just as bad, and in fact just decided to replace them all! Its not that hard to do the side 2 and front yourself...as for the wheel bearing, that's pressed in, id just remove the steering knuckle from the car and take it to a shop to have it pressed out. Do these 2 things and youll still spend around 200-300 bux...

If you plan to keep the car for a long time, get a new Honda mount; a HASPORT would be the best choice by far if you plan to increase
performance. Hasport mounts also increase vibrations inside the cabin.

The rear mount is definitely the hardest one to change.
