Default Sell, Mod, Go all out... YOUR SUGGESTION?

I am in kinda a delima now. My car has been "grounded" by my dad due to overdue insuranc and gas bills. So its sitting outside right now. I want to buy an Integra buy would also like to make some money on this car!!

I'm trying to get this car into a condition to make it most desirable when I sell it. Here's the options I came up with:

Option 1: Sell the car the way it is... 7k on rebuilt motor...scratches/key marks...hood/bumper chips...etc... I needs new tires, shocks, and exhuast. I'm thinking I could get about 4-5k for it?

Option 2: Work on suspension(Tein,GSR disc swap, Swaybars/LCS's,etc...), Brakes(GSR swap/AEM big brake/Wilwood calipers, lines etc...) exterior(Honda paint, C/F hood, Spoon mirrors, fix dents, scratches, keying) and interior(Recaro's, Takata,Type R etc...). Try to sell the car advertising a GREAT car ready for a swap and/or turbo!

Option 3: Get a loan and go all out! Same mods as Option 2 PLUS LS motor swap/ t3/t4 turbo, Hondata, fuel system, etc....)

Option 4: YOUR SUGGESTION???

I'm wondering which would make the car most desirable(to sell fast), and would leave me some money to purchase a Integra and begin modding it!

Thanks!
Spike

BTW, I have a guy who'd buy my D16Z6 motor for $650. He'd pick it up too? Go for it or not?

Turn it back to stock. Sell your mods, sell the car as a stock car. Buy a GSR

Mods, don't add much or anything to the resale value of your ride. Most of the time, they take away from it, plus the fact that if you have a performance modified ride, people might automatically assume you beat on it and not want to pay as much.

if you do sell it with mods, it would have to be a good friend or somebody who knows how the car was treated and likes the mods you have performed on the car. if this was the case you could probably ask that kind of money for it that the car is worth...then again if you sold it to friend, they would expect a deal.

Or you could sell it to a stupid person...who doesn't know much, maybe a ricer or something. But they still might not want to pay that much because of they wouldn't give a rat ass about rear disc brakes or anything.

Honestly dude, I think you best bet is to return the car to stock near perfect condition. get rid of some of the dings dents scratches if you can, but usually that can cost a ton of money. a few tasteful mods left on it here and there might add a little appeal. but I would sell it without mods.

I'm getting the vibe of fixing the exterior imperfections and turning it back to stock.

GSR would be the obvious choice when I get a 'Teg!

I want a teg too but still love my hatch. its just not fast enough to represent. can't decide on a motor or teg.

damn motor will cost atleast $3000 and the hatch will be pretty damn pimp. then again for the same amount of money I'd be able to sell the hatch and buy a decent gsr, but I want the jdm front so there goes another $2000.

I gotta be rich when I get older, can't have my kids going through this sh!t.

definitely not option 2, you'll never get as much money for the car as you spent on parts.

That leaves 1 and 3. If you have trouble paying your insurance and gas, sounds like debt is the last thing you need--screw getting a loan.

I'd say either sell the car for an integra, or just put it on hold and buy the mods you want when you actually have the money to buy them outright. So i guess thats either 1 or 4.

Actually if I was in debt, I would sell the mods, sell the car, and pick up an CRX HF. 40+ MPG and cheap insurance, you'll be on your way to a debt-free life very soon

Option 5: If I sell the D16Z6 motor, Si rims, and JL Audio sub and amp, I can pay off my debts. If I were to do that, what should I do next?
1: Sell the car with steelies and no motor?
2: Get a loan for a B18 and some wheels
3: Your suggestion?
