How much of a shot can i go with my mods? (posted in my profile) 35? or could i even go SAFELY at 55? and how much hp and faster times will 35 or 55 give me? i just wanna get nitrous and SAFELY drive my car without blowing it. thanks.
zex comes with 55, 65, 75 shot increments. they average to the wheels is 40, 50, 60. i've seen dyno's that put down better and worse #'s. temperature and bottle pressure play a huge part. you can safely run the 55 shot with no upgrades other than colder plugs (i use NGK BKR7E). i would venture to say that with the 55 shot you hould pull anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 of a second off of your time. the key is reading your plugs to make sure that the motor is not detonating. i've been spraying on my zex kit for almost 2 years without a problem.
Originally posted by Teg711 i'm pretty sure there's a 35 shot too, should be okay with a 50 shot but if it were me on stock internals i'd just go with a 35...
zex only comes with jets for 55,65,75 shot increments. i've been running the 75 shot on my stock internals for almost 2 years. NX is the only company i know that the kit comes with a 35 shot.

i didn't see your mods in your profile. i'm running a 75 shot on my b16 without problems at all. there are a few things that you should get (safety reasons) if you plan on running any higher than a 55 shot. higher flowing fuel pump, colder spark plugs, adjust timing on motor. i ran my set up for almost 2 years with a 255lph walbro fuel pump, NGK BKR7E plugs, and 2 degree retard in ignition timing (zex calls for 4 with the 75 shot but after reading the plugs numerous times 2 degrees was plenty). i bought the msd digital 6+ ignition so that when i flipped the n2o switch it would automatically retard timing. that way i wouldn't have to run on the street with less power due to timing retard. the ignition is awesome but not a necessity.
