Default Argument about Power of VTEC

Me and my associate were arguing wether or not a Buddy of ours ( who has a 2000 Honda Civic EX Sedan Auto ) wether or not it comes VTEC and wether that VTEC is as strong as the VTEC found in the Prelude , Si ... etc

Yes it does come with VTEC, but it's not as noticable as in the Prelude and Si since it's a SOHC engine.

My next question is why didn't they just pop the hood?

Says VTEC clearly on the engine.

why would it pull as hard..that would mean they are equal in everything...that would be gay. autos have some really nasty gearing, which is a down also...put of course vtec is HELPS. VTEC is VTEC, they dont "down size" it.

yeah, my valve cover doesn't say vtec either, but you definitely feel it kick in. i'm sure it's not as agressive as on a b or h series motor. i don't think they would really "tone it down", but i think that you would get more gain out of it on a more powerful motor.
