Default Help replacing gauge cluster. Cant remove freakin wires from switches!!

hey guys

im in the process of replacing my current gauge cluster on my 93 integra LS.

i'm able to unscrew the screws and pull out the panel on the dash, however, when it comes time to disconnect the wires from the switches, like the hazard, cruise, and rear defroster, the wire housings are stuck!!!

since i cant remove the wires, i cant pull the panel out and take out my old cluster.

i tried and tried and i just cant do it. i dont want to accidentally rip a wire or break something.

anyone with 91-93 integra but is able to easily remove those wires??? thanks.

you mean take out the harness? you know theres a tab you have to push in right?

if you are careful, use a plier to squeeze the tab and pull out..gently...

Default i have your solution

i have a 91 integra ls and i took my entire cluster out one year ago to change the lightbulbs. i ended up breaking my speedo, but thats another story all together. if you wanna know how to take off the buttons, you may do this trick i used. i popped the actual buttons themselves out of their holes. they should pop out towards you. then you squeeze the plastic connectors to get them off. if that doesn't work, try using a small flat head screwdriver to pry them off. then the rest is all easy.

I just took mine out and it was the biggest bitch. The wire for the temp control needs to come undone first. There is a small pole it is attached to to the right of the center column below the glove box...take that off and it can come out farther. You need to pup out the rear defroster and hazard switched...I used a flat head screw driver and did it without damage...those plugs are easy. The hard ones are the two in back...a real PITA. It took two of us to do it...one squeezed the tabs on the plugs while the other pulled.

Hope this helps.
