probably just buy whatever parts are out of spec from the dealer or whatever online. Trannys are pretty cheap if you goto a yard and pick one up.

I would probalby just buy used one instead of rebuidling...ugh

I asked about this once and I think it was $300 for the gear set new, then whatever it cost to have it done unless you do it yourself.

if you were actually going to that, why wouldn't you run the ls gears down low for the low end torque?

I dont understand how running ls gears would give you low end torque. Im runnin an n/a engine, so shorter gears will be better allowing me to run through gears quicker, the fifth gear i want ls because it will be more suitable for freeway speeds.

just wondering, if you have a gsr transmission already, aren't the gears pretty 'tight' already? i know in my LS first and second aren't too bad but once i hit third i can really notice a loss in acceleration. do you notice this in your gsr trans too? because i was going to rebuild my transmission with gsr gears but now maybe i'll go with itr 3rd and 4th if the gsr ones are kind of 'long.'
also when you're rebuilding your transmission i would replace the synchros while you're already in there.

The reason I said gear set is becaues I don't think you can just buy the synchros.
