Default Performance loss with stock shocks?

Hi, I have a 90 ls, and I wanted to know how much performance I would be sacrificing using my stock shocks with GC limited coilovers as opposed to using KYB AGX's with GC's. Will my turning not be as good and are the stock shocks stiff enough? give me your opinion. Thanks

The stock shocks will last for a little while but wont go very far. As for performance I do know that it will be bouncing. I suggest just waiting until you can get both that way you only have to take it apart once and you will be more satisfied with the ride.

Thank you. My shocks are pretty stiff as it is, so maybe it wouldn't bother me too much. I dunno, any more opinions?

If you drop the car, it will increase the load put on the stock shocks. If they are the original shocks, just wait. It's not worth putting coilovers on (or paying to have it done) and then have to pay for the same labor again when you get new shocks.

Even Type R shocks don't hold up to a decent lowering for long. Someone had spoon springs on stock ITR shocks @ 5K miles. They were dead by 14K.

To reiterate: the whole point of the shocks is to control the motion of the springs, and the stiffer the springs you have the harder the shocks have to work. The stock shocks just won't do a good job of controlling the springs, regardless of how long they will last.
