I had mine on the stock shocks until i was able to afford new shocks. They worked fine for me until the shocks went bad cause there not meant to used on a lowered car.

How far did you lower your car, and how long did your stock shocks last? I was thinking of lowering mine about 1.5 with GC's and stock shocks, what do u think of shock longevity and ride quality?

Lowering the car is not the only thing that wears out your shocks when you put on coilover sleeves or lowering springs. The whole point of the shocks is to control the motion of the springs. When you use a stiffer spring, the shock has to work harder to control it. That wears out the shock. It should never be your plan to put on stiffer springs without upgrading the shocks in turn.
