Depends on what you want out of a tire.
Good all around tire with snow not an issue I'd go with a Yokohama AVS ES100.

If you want an all around tire including snow, I have no idea -- cause I don't deal with snow.

If you want a performance tire, I'd say Kuhmo MX's.

i have been using nitto nt450's that i got through discount tire 2 years ago, been using them the whooole time, took about a year before i needed new ones, 2 of course for front, and had 2 diff blowouts on back from ghey shiz like nails, discoun tires' warranty owns on their tires, even though the back 2 were a year+ on age, when they blew out from a nail and that beer bottle i hit on the high way, they sent me 2 new ones.

Although, nt450's arent the best rain tires, dry pavement they rule:thumbup:

Rate these things in order of importance to you: dry traction, wet traction, hydroplane resistance, snow traction, tread life, road noise, ride comfort, price.

if you are not going to keep a set of winter tires on hand.... I strongly recomend the Dunlop SP Sport A2's! Mine are awsome and they kept me straight when everyone else was going sideways during the huge storm we had 3 weeks ago. They are just as good in the rain as the origanal tires that came on my teg and they are better then the 5000's in the dry!

thay are also damn cheap
