I blew the tranny in my 98 4banger auto. I need to replace the tranny. Honda is not going to assist in the repairs so I am on my own So does anyone out there know of a place where I can get a good one new/or used just so I can get it back on the road again?

although spending as little money as possible is nice i'd recommend getting the best trans. possible and maybe doing a manual conversion. i did that with my s-10. the last thing you want to do is replace it now and then have to do it again in a couple years. my .02

Find one from a junkyard, any f or h series should work, then Get a level 10 rebuild kit and t/c for your old trans. Just use the junkyard one while your other one is getting built, then sell it back to the junkyard.

 

So how much to do a manual swap on my automatic?
