Default Head gasket replacement on g3 LS

Well, I have been experiencing all sorts of problems with my 94 LS (turns out there was bubbles in the coolant and the overflow bottle kept filling up), and now theres the tell-tale white gook in the oil so I'm in need of a head gasket replacement, perhaps install a new head / timing belt / etc while I'm at it. (Any way to tell if the head cracked?)

I don't know how to get the head out (do I have to remove the motor?), so seeing all the people on here who have removed their engine or done motor swaps, I was hoping I could find some help and suggestions on how to remove the head/motor, what tools are needed, what needs to be removed or drained, what to watch out for, and what else I should do while I'm in there (timing belt, fuel filter, etc??)

Before the head gasket blew, I put in fuel system treatment to clean the injectors of 164K miles of junk....I restarted the car and all this white smoke came out of the tailpipe and from under the hood. Hasn't done it since...but not sure if it was the head gasket and related parts or the fuel treatment.

Thanks again, hopefully I can get my car back up and running to normal!

Rammatchi:
I don't really have the time to lay into this right now and give you specifics, but you should really look into purchasing a HELMS manual.

It will basically tell you step by step how to do everything from change your headlight bulbs to changing your pistons.

Do what antarius suggested and get a helms manual they are very helpful. To find if the haed is cracked you have to have a shop magnuflux is it.

Is this the correct website... helminc.com?

Which one do I order if I want to know about all the engine maintenance work? Timingbelt, valve adj, cam seal, transmission flush, etc.

You want the "service manual."

This is the one for a '94.
