That's bad... Drain it out until the proper amount is left.

Windage. Crank froths up the oil. Not good.

If you're looking for extra capacity, use an oversized oil filter. I'm using a NAPA Gold (Wix)# 51344.

Not to whore your thread, but here's a question... as per my owners manual, and everywhere else I've read, my b18b is 'supposed' to take 4.6L of oil. The mechanic who did my last oil change said, "no, it takes 3.8L, and with your bigger oil filter it'll proably take all 4.0L." And it did?! One 4.0L jug, filled it right up to the top of the dipstick. Strange, eh?

That 4.6L probably is for a dry-fill. Like if you dismantled your engine & there weren't any puddles of oil laying around under your cams or in your oil pump.

I've always put 4.6 Quarts in, every single oil change I put 4.6 quarts in (not liters) and it fills it up perfectally each time. Never over filled or under.
