Clutch problems on 6spd CL?
My friend was looking at getting a 6spd cl but the dealer told him that many of the 6spd's have clutch problems so they are no longer making 6spd cl's. Anyone else hear about this or experience it?
That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard. They may be temporarily halting production to fix a problem, but they haven't stopped production. I've read the clutch is a bit grabby and has a nonlinear feel to it, but I've never heard of any real problems with it. You sure the salesman wasn't trying to steer him toward an automatic?
I cant believe that, it obviously has to be some sort of sales gimic otherwise why would he just come out in the open and admit a big problem like that with a car he sells? I think the other guys are right, the 6spd sells well enough so they need to get rid of the autos.

I just can't stand car salesmen. What I do for a living requires me to know more than my customers. Or at least as much. I'd be out of a job if my customers knew more than I did about what I do. Not to mention, that would be very embarrasing for me.
Sounds like he had alot of A/T's still on the lot he needed to sell. The guy is full of ****.
FYI the guy who tried to sell me my TL-S(I say tried because I went to a different salesman in the same dealership) told me an all new NSX should have been here in 2002 with a V8 and AWD. Salesman are the last to know the facts, but regardless they'll replace it with fiction anyday to make a sale.
