I've played with one a couple times. It's reasonably accurate within a few 1/10ths of a second but I consider it to be more of a toy than an actual diagnostic tool.

i was just wondering how acurate it is, i got a 16.2 with an exhaust leak and engine over heating a bit but i swear my car is faster than that...

I've heard its pretty acurate. You just have to find a Flat road to use it on.

Flat road and an understanding that the G-Tech does not measure reaction time, and slight changes in elevations throw off readings. The G-Tech may not be super accurate, but above all else [and as a tuning tool] it is consistant.
