Default Using 4 guage wiring!

This is prolly a stupid question but I thought I would ask anywayz. I just bought the 4 guage rockford fosgate wiring kit for a system I am gonna buy. Right now I have a system with an amp that requires minimum of 8 guage. I was thinking about going ahead and running the 4 guage kit through and taking 8 guage out....wouldn't hurt anything would it? I don't think so cause its just adding bigger wire where its not really needed for the time being until i get new amp and sutff. But let me know anywayz, thanks ahead of time!

If you have the time and are really that bored, then feel free to re-run the wires. But don't cut up the 4 gauge too soon because you may end up doing something different and it would suck if the wires aren't long enough....
