I don't care if he believes in god or not, I am not exactly a believer either but I don't go around shooting people just because of that.

I realize that but they are trying to say that if someone doesn't believe in god they are prone to violent acts. I am just saying that after having been around some very violent types I noticed that almost all of them wore a crucifix and believed strongly in god. After 16+ years of running with those types I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what a person believes it ultimatley ends up with who the person is that makes the difference.

i think the message is to the parents about the kids, not something about gun control
to me, it reads "if god doesn't matter to him (the kid), do you (the parent)?"

To me it doesn't seem directed at the parents, just towards whoever he is pointing the gun at.
