I have bought an extra D16z6 so I can drive my Coupe while I build the new motor. I don't really have a budget, I'm going to build as I have extra money..
I don't want to spend a grip of money but I'm not going cheap..
Right now I have $2000 for motor parts...

I'm building it for a turbo setup.
The turbo questions will come later.

Right now I need advice on what parts and brand I should buy....

1) If the stock crank is good should I replace it with a race quality crank?

2) I'm looking to buy these Wiseco Pistons and Eagle Rods Click Here Yes from ebay...
The description says 75.50mm (+020" Overbore) Does this mean I would have to have the cylinders bored out .50mm?

3) I'm looking ACL Race STD Rod Main Bearings Click Here
Will these work with the Eagle Rods listed above?

4) Ferrea 6000 Series Valves Click Here
Are these any good?
Also would the oversize valves fit my head? The oversize sizes offered are .5mm & 1mm

the factory crank is fine, the wiesco, eagle rod set up will work great for your needs and I would look for something with about 9 to 0 compression, makes it easier to drive daily and can be tuned for some impressive numbers. ACL bearings worked fine with the eagle rods i used back when i built the z6 in my del sol. To really determine the best cam for you your gonna have to think what your wanting to achieve from this setup, and what kind of turbo your wanting to run

 

Will pistons from a 96-00 D16y8 work with a d16z6?
