Default '07 r18 civic w/ cai hydrolocked?!?!?

yea so i have a '07 r18 civic lx coupe. i have an injen cold air intake.

yesterday i drove through a huge slush and water puddle and my car bogged out and stalled after making it through in nuetral. i had to restart the car and drive it a half block to my house. it stalled about 3-4 times getting it into my garage.

i let it sit overnight and this morning it started but stalled out again.. it ran for a bit longer than last night. i removed the cai, and there was water in the part of the tubing that is horizontal. i cleaned and dried the filter.

i'm going to autozone to pick up the spark plug adapter and im gonna try manually cranking the engine while the plugs are out...

anyone have any idea whats going on here? thanks in advance.

Well... it wasn't even water in the engine. It was a filthy wet MAF sensor. When i looked at the sensor it looked a bit wet, so I dried it off. Then I put my mouth to it and blew and madddddd brown water came out. I dried it off and put my car back together..

Does anything think I should go through an other precautions to insure that I don't ruin my engine?

The problem you had is that the MAF got dirty. If i remember right Injen sells a thing called a Water sheild, it covers the filter and allows air through but not water. Other than than try and avoid Big puddles.
