my friend bought it on black Friday but doesn't want it, so he might sell it to be, he paid 199 for it at radio shack

any imputs i dont know shit about blu rays stuff, im going to buy a new tv soon so if this comes through more reason to buy it sooner.

You're not going to find a better Blu-Ray player then the PS3 for less than $1000. But if really must opt for something else, I've heard good things about the LG BD300, but good luck finding it for less then $400... h:

how is that? its using the old s300 drive reader, which is slower then the newer readers out there. it does have internet and auto-firmware upgrades but it doesnt even have all your full hd audio features like some higher end players do. for the capabilities of having wireless and a gaming system, yes a ps3 is worth it. just for the blu-ray capabilities, i dunno about that

Hmm...as far as I know the PS3 still loads faster than players than players that cost twice as much. What "full hd audio features" are you referring to?
