Default civic radio backlight

94 factory stock cassette player

no backlighting for the radio only. rest of dash is fine, i pulled it apart and found the two bulbs are soldered onto the board, has any successfully changed these?

i do not want an aftermarket radio. just want to see the radio at night.

My best attempt would be to heat up the soder with a soder gun and lift the bulb up and then replace it but I don't know if that will damage your board or not.

You could connect a led strip or any other light source of your choice instead of messing with those bulbs.
