Default amp's not working...suggestions?

Alright...last nite my amp was working fine. This afternoon, no sound coming out from the subs. No pops or anything! Didn't touch any wires or anything. So I was confused? So...I checked all the connections leading from the HU to the amp. Nothing! The fuse is still intact. The red led of the amp lights up. I thought maybe it was the HU's rca output. Nope! Thought maybe it was the subs...nope! Orginally I have the subs and amp bridged. So I decided to try running the subs on one channel, and I noticed some bass coming out from the subs.

So....what other suggestions do you think there are or do you think my amp's finally dead? I've had it for 4 years now. Thanks!

Is there any heat coming from the amp?

Try hooking up the subs to each channel to see which channels work. It seems as if your amp is dying... if not dead already. It is an MTX though and I do know that they come with a five year warranty, but I know thats for the newer models, check to see if this warranty applies for your model also.

Actually it's the rockford fosgate amp that's giving me probs. To answer ur question...yes heat is coming from the amp. Which is why i'm sorta confused. Like i posted, instead of bridging it, i ran it to one channel and some bass came out. It's just hella odd cuz it's all of the sudden with no pops or anything.

I had the same exact problem as you. Make sure to check if your amp is getting enough power. My amp was underpowered due to a lose power fuse from the battery.
