So ye...nothing surprising my 3rd automatic tranny is also on its way out....i hope that the honda makers die so the production stops....i have never hated anything this much in my life.....is there any performance rebuild kits that i could buy so that i can have the shop rebuild the damn thing so that it will actually last this damn car????

I hear ya (sort of). I've always had manuals in my Honda's but I've looked seriously at some of the autos. I keep hesitating due to experiences like yours. I already ranted about this in the CL/TL forum but yeah, Honda needs to get their act together on their autos. The 6th gen Accord isn't the only bad one. It goes all the way up to the 03 CL's and TL's but for a whole different defect (it's a completely different transmission). Still, errors and more errors. Someone in quality control needs to be working harder. I'd be sporting an 01 TL-S if it weren't for these tranny issues. But I can't bring myself to switch to a honda auto. Honda makes a great manual, but If you want a good reliable auto, get a Lexus.

How much are these replacements costing you?

Manual swaps range from $1k-$2k. :dunno:

the thing is i cant afford a new car yet....my next car will be a bimmer...no more honda crap for me....i'm sick of them, honda and Acura really dropped in their quality ever since they start making them here. IF your Vin number doesn't start with a "J" it aint a real honda. i really do believe in "you get what you pay for"
