do crossovers block out bad sound?

Default do crossovers block out bad sound?

i had my bass up today and my hz's low, and i heard my components cracking.. i turned it down right away, shouldnt the crossovers stop that?

you probably have to turn the bass down. The crossovers for the components only direct high frequencies to the tweeter and sometimes cut the highs to the mid-bass at the same frequency... they dont block low frequencies from going to the mid-bass.

If your deck has high-pass crossovers built in, turn them on... or if you are using an external amp for the highs, that should have a high-pass crossover... turn that on.
