I was pulled over today and they want me to take my car to a referee. I have a b20b in a gsr. Is there any way to make this car pass?

 

Not that I know of; the B20b comes from a CRV. Its illegal in California to swap a motor from a truck or SUV to a passenger car.

They must have looked closely, I remember a B20b looking exactly like a B18b.

 

Yes they did look closely; they took pictures of everything on my car. I have been pokeing around and it looks like some people convert there car to lpg and take it off after they pass. I have no idea how much that cost.

 

What's lpg?

 

CNG/LPG. It is that other type of fuel they are using to save the enviroment. You see the logo on a lot of county cars.

 

LPG is liquid propane. Dont do it. How did u get the car like that? U have to smog a car to sell it. Did u get screwed? Im pretty sure u cant get by with that swap. Go find a cheap Ls motor.

Also, an LPG conversion is pointless given the offense they've cited you for.
The B20* comes from a different EPA class than the DC Integra, it is de facto illegal to swap between classes in California.

Find yourself a cheap, decent condition B18B1 that is as old or older than your chassis year.
Install it along with all the OEM emissions equipment before you go to the referee.

There is no other way to beat this; if you challenge it in court, the photos taken at the scene will insure that they rule against you.
