Anybody know any Honda tech schools where I could get qualified as a honda/acura technician?

Or anybody who's hiring Honda performance guys?

Where are you from in WV???? I know of a shop in Fairmont, WV that may need some people... I can ask around. I volunteer at a place, Jireh Motorsports in Huntington, WV.. but I dont think they are currently in need of a full-time tech.

 

Yea... I'm in Bluefield... Southernmost point. Anyhow, I'm not WILLING to relocate I would PREFER to relocate. LOL

Don't you guys have any community colleges or tech schools near you? Most dealerships just want you to be ASE certified and then they'll arrange factory training on whatever brand you decide to work for.

It's true, and to top it all off, you don't even have to be in a school to take and pass the ASE test, you can take it at home last time I checked.

Nope. All mechanics start out as rookies and get paid more and more over the years, years= Experiance= mo money! I meen think about it, you can know everything in the book about honda's, get a job at a honda dealership with no exp and you will be standing there with a wrench in your hand, without a clue in the world were to start... lookin like a shmuck :ugh: Even if you have PLENTY of EXP workin on honda's it wont prepare you for the dealership! You will be amazed at how ignorant/just stupid people are! This is one my teacher (He works at a honda dealership) threw at me "Well the salesman said it didnt need to be serviced for the first 10,000 miles! I didnt know I had to put oil in it!" Yea bro.... It would amaze you

 

How would you take the ASE at home,i'm under the impression that it is a hands on course?Imagine going to an interview for a job as a mechanic with an ASE and have not touched tools to get it.Come on now...
