Default timing tune up

hey guys, i had this post in the civic forum, but its getting no traffic, so maybe i can get some better opinions here....

just got myself a civic, and i'm going through it. the timing belt was never done, and it's got 118k miles on it.

anyone have any experience with this kit? it's a good deal, but not sure if it's junk.

thanks everyone!

If it's OEM parts, get it. If it's not OEM, don't do it.

Concurrage

A timing belt is like $15, but you could end up paying a fair bit for a water pump. I figure its one of those maintenance issues that comes along so rarely, I don't mind the cost of just walking into the stealership for parts.

What he said.

OEM or plan on having to take all of that shit off when it fails.

I've spent good money with these guys.

If possible, think of spending more for OEM-across-the-board like it's money saved.
