Default my hybrid seems to hesitates on acceleration..

I have a 94 b18b in a 94 civic ex coupe. Just swapped it in about 2 weeks ago and during acceleration you can feel a slight hesitation then power will kick in. It has a new distributor, cap, rotor and plugs.. I've even pulled out in traffic a couple of times and have the car not even want to move for a split second then it will resume as normal. Any ideas?

My 89 Si with a 92 B18A1 does the same thing. But It did that when it was in the teg also? I bought a fuel presure gauge and it sits at 35 psi when idle. Timing is correct also. If anyone knows what the problem is, please reply. I would like to know as well........

i would assume it has to do either with a fuel pump issue..or the map sensor/tps..

it should suffice just fine..fuel pumps do go out with stress.. depending on if you had a fuel presure riser/regulator..it could have stressed the pump..age of it..or milage possibly... one of my old accords did this very same thing. i could never figure out what it was though.. have you chnaged your fuel filter recently?
the reason i say its fine is, an h22 swap me and my friend did..we left the factory dx fuel pump and the car ran fine and never had any problems.

Mine did that up to about a week ago. Everytime I got into Vtec it would hesitate pretty bad making me back off then come to find out I went to change to oil and all I got out when I drained it was 1/2 quart. I felt pretty stupid and bad about beating on her like that with that little of oil but I filled her back up and she runs like a champ again.

try not to floor it right away sometimes it can just dump too much fuel. give it half throttle or 3/4 throttle them floor it all the way.
