Also leasing and haven't had any problems on returning the cars. Matter of fact the dealer has taken them back early. Leased a 96 Integra GSR and then a 99 GSR and now the RSXtypeS. The 96 went back about 6 months early and the 99 almost a year. The RSXtypeS is right at $400 a month for 39 months got the dealer to make first payment and also got a check from HondaFinance for $400. Taxes on lease are on each individual payment, so the $400 a month we pay includes the taxes, where if we bought the car we would have to pay 6% of the total for state tax. BTW this was based on 23650 sticker price of the RSXtypeS on 7 JULY 2001. We have 15000 miles a year and .10 a mile penalty for over, the car currently has about 24000 miles on it.
Oh yeah our son also leased his 99 GSR (all have been from the same dealer), but unfortunately he totaled it. Cost him $400 after the insurance settled. He hadn't had the car quite a year.

Leasing isnt a bad idea if you dont drive a lot of miles. Sounds like Honda/Acura have a pretty good lease program. I sold fords for a while and i guess because they dont have good resell they suck for leasing. Also dont you have to have higher insurance coverages and such if you lease a vehicle?

Whenever we returned a car off lease (early) the dealer already had it sold, and also more than paid off our remainder of the lease. Don't want the hassle of private sales either, that's why we don't sell the car outright ourselves.
Of course it also helps that we have done business with the same dealer now for four cars.

Anybody had warranty problems due to mods on the car? I have a header and a CAI. Most leases dont allow exhaust mods ahead of the cat but it doesnt say anything about mods in the warranty booklet. I had to cut the fender well liner, relocate the washer fluid tank and re-route the hoes and wiring to the washer fluid to install the CAI. Will that affect my coverage?
As long as the dealer accepts the car you are ok. I plan on removing any mods and putting the stock stuff back on at the end of the lease anyway. Can't see giving them several thousand dollars of improvements for nothing. Chances are that we will be leasing another Acura or Honda anyway. Maybe the S2K next time!
