Default IAT (Advance timing Mod)

Okay So im on i see this bid on ebay for a mod for the IAT that is suppose to add 10-15 horses by what it says is removing the government regs. So i bid on this sucker what the hell... right its only a buck. So i buy this thing and i put it on my car right its a thing that looks like :

---(___)---
I I
I I
I I
I I

and put it my IAT sensor and my check engine light comes on, but I understand that but really my question is, is this thing really a spoof or does it really work. What does it do exactly or what does it take away. Anyone know????

Shoulda spent your buck on a bag of chips or something. Take it off.

Its probably just a resistor... makes your car think the air is colder, which gives more fuel. More fuel is not necessarily a good thing.

Yup I agree. Sounds like the Venom 400 module. Running rich will ruin your plugs and actually can decrease performance.

that mod is big in the Probe community...all the guys with 2 gen probes with automatics used to do it. They said it made the car shift later. Who knows if it works....chances are it just made their Probes break even sooner.
