This is ridiculous. I can't get the two holes to line up on my lower control arms to reinstall the bolt. I've banged away with a BFH to get it to line up, its as if it is angled funny and wont line up no matter what. I've tried to use a jack to jack it up/down etc...

I do have a tein h tech 1.5" drop with the 3 washer camber trick in the back...dont know if that is making this difficult or not.

Help please, I thought this would be an easy 5 minute job, I've had these ebay struts laying around forever wasnt even going to put them in...go figure... I need my car tomorrow! thanks!

 

Impact wrench. You can let the wrench spin the bolt around as you jimmy the lca up and down until it goes in. that's how I did mine.

 

Thanks...got it. It always works out like that, post a rant and lo and behold it popped in 10 minutes later - guess I just needed a break to get some energy up to muscle it in by myself. Had someone help me with the front, a LOT easier to align with two people instead of one.

Next time that happens all you need to do is just unbolt the upper arm.
