Default Radiator Fans

Hello Everyone,

I need a little advice concerning my fans. After driving the car for 1hr I am noticing that only one of the fans is working. When facing the engine with hood up, it the one on the left that switches on and off. The one on the right appears not to be turning on. Is this normal? I have a Helms manual so I think I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

The car is not overheating as of yet.

1997 Honda Civic 4-D Sedan DX, Manual Trans
Everything is stock in this car.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Is your car equipped with A/C? If so, are you talking about the cooling fan for the condenser (#7 in the link below)?

Yes it is equipped with A/C. Yes, the one in the diagram. The A/C hasn't worked in ages. Is that it...... one fan is for the radiator and the other is for the A/C?

Yes. The radiator fan sounds like it's working properly, so unless you want your A/C to work, you have nothing to worry about.
