Default Random popping subwoofer

I have a friend who's running two 12 in JBL woofers off a JBL amp. Maybe once every two weeks, she'll experience a very loud and brief popping sound from her subs. The rest of the time the subs work fine as well as sounding good, but out of no where the subs will just blast this deafening sound for a split second. It seems to happens whenever it wants under any situation (bumps, flat land, moving, parked, etc..).

All connections/wires appear to be fine and in order so I'm stumped as to what this might be. Any experiences or ideas? Thanks in advance!

I had this happen and it was a bad ground. Otherwise i would just rewire it all.

Cool, thanks! I'll take another look at the ground.
