Default crank pulley wabbles

hey i just bought a cheap 95 ls integra. the owner drove it to my house so i know it kinda runs. the only noticable probloem with the engine is the main drive pulley. it has no belts on it and it rattles. when i took off the wheel, the bolt wasnt tightened on it. i tried to tighten it but couldnt. do i need a high powered air gun or am i hitting someting inside the engine?? please help

I recommend removing the bolt and doing an inspection. At least, since the bolt is loose, check to make sure the alignment key is still in the tip of the crank shaft. Make sure, since the bolt was loose, also, that the keyway is not severely distorted too badly.

It's possible the bolt is too long, there is debris in there or the threads are jacked up. Inspect and you shall see.

You probably need to replace the pulley and/or bolt. I had the same problem and ended up just replacing both.

Here is my thread about it: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=207874

hopefully the key isn't messed up in there. if so you might need a new crank or machine that one
