Default Hey Swap Gurus...I Need Some Help

Here's the situation...I'm pulling a B16 out of '00 Si to go in a '98 EX civic. (I know the whole obd2a, obd2b thing, let's not turn this into another "Can my 89 harness work with a 00 ecu?" threads) I pulled the engine harness through the firewall today and noticed a harness still inside the car that it ran from the ECU to the bottom of the fuse box. I know the engine harness and ECU need to match, but am I going to need to have this other harness to match the ecu also, or do all those wires just run gauges and stuff? Please don't tell me I need this to come out too. These wires split off and run all up underneath the dash. I am just now finding out this harness existed and it's got me stumped. This is my first swap experience and after one day of work, I have one more drive axle to take remove, then out comes the engine!!
All help is GREATLY appreciated
