I just purchased an 05 TSX AT5, and i am heartbroken to have realized that Hondata doesnt do an ecu reflash for this specific year for the auto tranny. I am just wondering if anyone out there knows why not, because i see that they offer it for the 04 and 06 auto trannys. This does not make any sense. Is there any alternatives out there for me along the lines of an ecu reflash/replacement? Any info much appreciated.

I read somewhere that it's due to the VIN number being programmed into the ECU. You can get hondata, but it'll cost you twice as much. This is because you have to buy an 04 ECU and use that instead.

I think you might need to swap back to the 05 ECU when you get smogged though
