Default Just bought 07 Accord SE V-6 - STILL no auto door locks?

Hello All -

My wife & I just traded our 04 TL into a lease on an 07 Accord SE V-6. We were upside down & went to a lease to reduce the amount of time in the bad deal we got ourselves into. The TL had auto door locks when we started driving & unlocked when we turned the car off or put it into park - the 07 doesn't appear to have this feature. Is there no way to get around this? I find it hard to believe that the Accord is 3 years older than the car we got rid of that's based on the same platform and we can't somehow change this setting. Any way to do it???

Also - is there a Homelink option for this car???

Thanks

I think it's an Acura thing.

I know my tegs that i've owned all had that auto-locking feature. Now that I think about it, i'd think that would be a pain in the ass to always have to unlock your door to get out.

Why don't you leave it unlocked when you get in this way it's already open when you turn the car off?

Acura TL = Touring Legend ... a Luxury Sedan.
Accord SE = Just above the basic model for an economy sedan; :-/

My '06 Ridgeline (RTL) has that valuable feature (IMHO). Alas, my '05 EX Accord (moon/leather/xm V-Tech) does NOT. I really don't get it.

I'm sure there are aftermarket alarm systems you can add which will also add this locking feature when you start your car and will unlock when turn off your car.

if u want features then get one of the DEI alarms. most of the DEI alarms will own any TL alarm system. for under $300 install u can get a sweet alarm that will do anything u can think of.

Switched from the TL to the Accord due to payments & my wife's negative equity - got into a lease to get out from under it. I realize that the TL is much more of the luxury sedan but at the same time, my 05 Explorer has this feature. Not that I really like it that much but my wife likes this feature...Kid in the back seat, all that jazz. LIke I said, it's not like it's an expensive feature, you know?

Also, I don't really think the SE is that much of the base model - has pretty good features minus a lot of the EX costs - v6, 6 disc, 17 inch wheels, power everything. What it doesn't have - Leather, navigation, the locking feature, trip computer...
